Creativa is a safe, encouraging environment for all forms of artistic expression. The purpose of Creativa is to give voice to the community without the tolerance of hate speech. This is a community that embraces a non-competitive spirit and celebrates self expression born out of the creator that lies in every soul. The Creativa community fosters relationships and collaboration among its participants.
Creativa began in August of 2007 under the name Free Slam. We were originally sponsored by Tanze Performing Arts Center and Nexus Church. In January of 2008, we changed the name from Free Slam to Creativa. We are currently sponsored by Tanze Performing Arts Center.
Our hope is that Creativa will continue to grow as a creative force in the community. We hope to continue to build community with each other and with the community of Fairfield to help artists to meet each other and support each others work. We eventually hope to be able to meet together as artists not just once a month at Creativa, but also in various other ways.
